NETHER ZIP-HOODIE

My first piece made in Vietnam: three months, two apartments, one hoodie. Natural linen, dyed with Tamarindus indica (tamarind), darkened in an iron bath and coated in a layer of wax. It still felt too dull, so a Tibetan prayer flag went on the back and the whole thing was dyed red. The wax had melted in places, so the red soaked in unevenly and came out like the weathered walls of an old temple.
